It’s been 19 years since I began Roleplaying. Not a year goes past that I’m asked what my hobbies are, and when I respond “Roleplaying” or “RPG” people assume I’m talking about:

• Online Games like World of Warcraft
• Acting
• Kinky sexual shenanigans

In truth true Roleplaying games, aka RPG, is none of these things, but actually incorporates all of them. Well… except the sexual shenanigans (sorry)!

So you’ve decide to be brave and give GM’ing a shot for the very first time. You’ll probably have your head filled with cool plots and ideas for characters, and might have even picked up a few books already. That’s great, the world needs more GM’s and it can be very rewarding when things go right, but it can also be rather overwhelming especially when you’re just starting off. That’s why I thought I’d put down a few tips for new GM’s to get you going and alert you of a few do’s and don’ts.
